Movie Matinee

Screenings held in St Johns Church, London Road, Bexhill-on-Sea, TN393JY.

We use a digital projector and watch the films on a 21ft wide screen, with high quality sound system.

St Johns is accessible, and has a hearing loop.

The winter season from October 2021 to March 2022 screens a selection of classic films on Wednesdays at 2.30pm fortnightly.

Film is FREE, recommended contribution to hall hire £4.00 (inc refreshments). No advanced booking.

6th October 2021 at 2.30pm – “Genevieve” (1953)

20th October 2021 at 2.30pm – “A Matter of Life and Death” (1946)

3rd November 2021 at 2.30pm – “Love Me Tender” (1956)

17th November 2021 at 2.30pm – “Anna Karenina” (1935)

1st December 2021 at 2.30pm – “White Christmas” (1954)

5th January 2022 at 2.30pm – “Roman Holiday” (1953)

19th January 2022 at 2.30pm – “She Wore a Yellow Ribbon” (1949)

2nd February 2022 at 2.30pm – “A Boy, A Girl, and A Bike” (1949)

16th February 2022 at 2.30pm – “The Letter” (1940)

2nd March 2022 at 2.30pm – “High Society” (1956)

We plan to run another series starting in the Autumn of 2022. 

Movie Matinee is delivered under the copywrite licence for St Johns with CCLI.
